3D Foamex Wall Sign for BASTE in the Cotswolds

Great food. Great mood. And a logo with a little more depth.

We've worked with Cotswolds-based food brand BASTE on everything from their visual identity to printed packaging, trailer graphics and digital design.

This time, we took their distinctive circular logo off the screen and onto the wall, producing a large, layered 3D Foamex sign that brings a bit of personality to their interior space.

Simple in appearance.

A little more involved behind the scenes.

A familiar badge, made a little bigger.

BASTE is all about good food, quality ingredients and creating the kind of atmosphere people want to come back for.

Founded in 2020, the brand has built its identity around a simple idea: Great Food, Great Mood.

We've previously worked with the team to refine their logo into a distinctive circular badge, bringing together the BASTE name, their signature motto and the year it all began.

It's a design that already works across everything from packaging to food trailer branding.

But when it came to bringing that identity into a physical space, we wanted to give it a little more presence.

And that meant going 3D.

Not your average wall sticker.

There's nothing wrong with a good vinyl wall graphic.

We make plenty of them.

But sometimes a design deserves something more substantial.

For this project, we used printed 10mm Foamex board to create a bespoke layered wall sign, giving the BASTE logo a raised, dimensional finish.

Foamex is a lightweight yet rigid signage material that's ideal for creating custom-shaped displays, dimensional lettering and interior branding.

The different layers introduce depth to the circular badge, with raised lettering and graphic details creating subtle shadows as the light hits the surface.

It's a small change in material.

But a pretty big change in appearance.

Keeping things sharp around the edges.

The beauty of BASTE's logo is in its simplicity.

A bold circular shape, clean typography and just enough detail to give it character.

Of course, simple designs have a habit of being the least forgiving.

With several circular elements, curved lettering and raised details, everything needed to be accurately positioned to keep the badge looking balanced.

The contrasting dark background and lighter lettering help the design stand out against the white interior wall, while the layered construction gives the whole piece a more substantial feel.

From across the room, it's a bold piece of branding.

Up close, you get to appreciate the detail.

Exactly how a good 3D wall sign should work.

A little branding goes a long way.

You don't necessarily need to cover every wall to make a space feel branded.

Sometimes one well-placed sign does the job.

Mounted high on the wall, the finished BASTE logo creates a natural focal point without competing with the surrounding space.

The circular shape works particularly well against the clean white interior, while the raised detailing gives it a finish that a standard flat print wouldn't quite achieve.

For restaurants, cafés, food businesses and hospitality spaces, these details help connect the environment to the brand itself.

It's not just about having your name on the wall.

It's about making the space feel like yours.

From Cotswolds food brand to recognisable identity.

BASTE has built a strong presence in the Cotswolds food scene, including its work at Diddly Squat Farm and appearances on Clarkson's Farm.

As the brand continues to be seen in different places, keeping its identity consistent becomes increasingly important.

Whether it's on a food trailer, a website, printed packaging or a large 3D wall sign, the same familiar badge helps tie everything together.

For us, this project is another example of what happens when branding and signage are considered as part of the same process.

We helped develop the identity.

Then we helped give it another home.
