Full Food Truck Wrap for Knead Neapolitan Pizza in High Wycombe

Good pizza deserves good branding.

And when your restaurant happens to be on wheels, you've got a pretty big opportunity to make an impression.

For Knead Neapolitan Pizza, we designed, printed and installed a complete food truck wrap in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, transforming their catering vehicle with bold branding, custom illustrations and a rather smart colour change across the front cab.

The result is a mobile pizzeria that looks just as good travelling to an event as it does parked up and serving pizza.

And let's face it, who doesn't love seeing a pizza truck arrive?

Taking Knead's branding on the road.

We've had the pleasure of working with Knead Neapolitan Pizza on various projects, helping develop their distinctive identity across restaurant signage, packaging and other branded materials.

Known for their Neapolitan-style pizzas and playful personality, Knead has built a brand that's instantly recognisable.

With restaurants in Maidenhead and Wokingham, along with a presence in Windsor, the team also takes its pizza-making skills on the road for weddings, festivals and private events.

And that's where this particular project comes in.

The brief was to give their catering truck a complete visual transformation, creating something that felt unmistakably Knead while making the most of the vehicle's considerable amount of advertising space.

A big blank box on wheels?

Not on our watch.

A full wrap with plenty of personality.

Rather than opting for a simple logo and a few contact details, we went all in with a full printed wrap for the truck's rear catering body.

The design features a deep navy background covered in detailed, hand-drawn illustrations inspired by pizza, ingredients and the world of food.

From pizza slices and tomatoes to various kitchen-inspired sketches, the graphics create a playful pattern across the entire vehicle.

The illustrations are deliberately subtle, using a lighter tone against the dark background to introduce plenty of detail without making things feel too busy.

Sitting proudly in the middle is the familiar Knead logo, finished in crisp white to give it maximum contrast.

The large script lettering really makes the brand stand out, while the smaller NEAPOLITAN PIZZA wording tells people exactly what's on offer.

It's bold enough to grab your attention from across a car park.

And interesting enough to make you look a little closer.

Designing around the serving hatch.

Food trucks are a little different from your average commercial van.

For starters, there's usually a rather large hole in the side where all the good stuff comes out.

The catering body's serving hatch meant the graphics needed to be carefully planned around the existing framework, ensuring the main branding remained clear and correctly positioned.

We used the large rectangular serving area as a natural focal point, with the Knead logo sitting centrally within the frame.

The illustrated background continues across the surrounding bodywork, creating a cohesive design rather than leaving the hatch looking like an awkward interruption.

Other features, including the wheel arch, ventilation panels and exterior trim, also needed to be considered when preparing the artwork.

It's one of the reasons we always design vehicle graphics around the actual vehicle.

Because stretching a nice-looking picture over a complicated box rarely ends particularly well.

A colour change to bring it all together.

The rear catering body wasn't the only part getting some attention.

We also carried out a colour-change wrap on the front cab, using wrapping vinyl to bring its appearance in line with the rest of the truck.

Matching the cab's dark finish to the printed catering body helps the vehicle feel like one complete design rather than two separate sections.

It's an important detail.

Without it, the contrast between the front and rear could easily distract from the overall branding.

With the colour change in place, the whole vehicle has a much more consistent, professional appearance.

Sometimes it's the big graphics that get noticed.

Other times, it's the smaller decisions that make the entire design work.

Printed, wrapped and ready to serve.

Once the design was finalised, we moved into production, printing the illustrated artwork onto high-quality conforming vinyl suitable for the vehicle's exterior bodywork.

The larger printed sections were carefully applied across the catering body, working around edges, panel joins and the various features of the truck.

We combined the printed graphics with single-colour vinyl decals and wrapping vinyl to achieve the different elements of the design.

The result is a clean, consistent finish that carries the Knead identity across the vehicle without losing the detail of the original artwork.

From the main serving side to the smaller contact information and social media graphics, every element has its place.

It's a good example of how illustration, typography and specialist print production can work together on something considerably larger than a pizza box.

A mobile pizzeria that looks the part.

For food trucks, festivals and mobile catering businesses, appearance is a big part of the experience.

Customers often see the vehicle before they've had a chance to look at the menu, so the branding needs to do some of the introducing.

With its bold Knead logo, illustrated navy wrap and carefully matched cab, the finished truck has a distinctive look that connects directly with the wider restaurant brand.

Whether it's arriving at a wedding, setting up at a festival or serving hungry crowds at a private event, the vehicle helps Knead create a recognisable presence wherever it goes.

And when the branding looks this good, all that's left is to get the oven going.

We'll happily volunteer for quality control.
