Bold Food Truck Wrap for Boomting Pizza in Harpenden

Some vehicle graphics are designed to look smart and professional.

Others are built to stop people in their tracks.

This one definitely falls into the second category.

For Boomting Pizza in Harpenden, we created a full printed vehicle wrap for their food truck, turning it into a rolling piece of brand advertising packed with attitude, energy and personality.

From the graffiti-style logo and bold yellow detailing to the cartoon illustrations and contrasting black-and-white panels, this project was all about making sure the truck looked every bit as memorable as the pizza being served from it.

And safe to say, it does exactly that.

A food truck with attitude

When you’re building graphics for a food truck, the vehicle itself becomes part of the customer experience.

It isn’t just transport.

It’s your shopfront, your billboard and your first impression all rolled into one.

For Boomting Pizza, the branding already had a strong personality, so the wrap needed to reflect that straight away. The final design uses a bold black base, bright yellow headline graphics and white supporting elements to create maximum impact.

It’s loud in the right way.

Fun without looking messy.

And packed with the kind of character that works brilliantly for an independent food brand.

The large “Boomting Pizza” logo instantly grabs attention, while the “Slices With Attitude” slogan helps reinforce the brand personality and gives the whole truck a clear voice.

Full wrap graphics that do more than just look good

This wasn’t a case of simply applying a logo to the side and calling it finished.

The truck has been fully transformed with printed graphics across the main body, creating a cohesive branded look from multiple angles.

One side features the main serving hatch, flanked by menu boards and supporting illustrations, while the opposite side carries equally bold graphics, large-format branding and key contact details.

The design makes excellent use of the available space, carefully working around vents, doors, access points and service areas so the truck still functions properly while maintaining a strong visual identity.

That balance is important on any catering vehicle.

A wrap has to work hard visually, but it also has to respect how the vehicle is actually used day to day.

Here, the end result feels considered, functional and unmistakably on-brand.

Strong illustration and standout colour contrast

One of the best things about this project is how much personality has been built into the graphics.

The wrap includes a series of playful custom-style illustrations, including spray-can characters, a rocket-riding skeleton and a cheeky pizza slice graphic on the white cab.

Those elements help give the truck a real sense of individuality.

Instead of relying on generic food imagery, the branding creates its own little visual world, which is far more memorable.

The colour palette also works incredibly hard.

Black provides the perfect backdrop, helping the bright yellow logo pop while the white graphics add contrast and keep everything sharp and readable.

That combination gives the truck a bold street-style feel while still being clean enough to look professional.

It’s exactly the sort of finish that suits an event-focused food truck.

Designed for visibility at events and private hire

Food truck graphics need to perform in busy environments.

Whether you’re parked at a private event, street food market, festival or corporate hire, people need to spot you quickly and understand what you do almost instantly.

That’s why large-scale branding is so important.

On the Boomting Pizza truck, the logo is impossible to miss, the messaging is clear and the truck carries additional information including web, social and booking details.

The serving side also incorporates menu boards and a bold visual layout around the hatch, making the customer-facing side feel like a proper service point rather than just the side of a van.

It all helps the truck do what good vehicle branding should do: attract attention, communicate clearly and make the business feel established and professional.

Matt and gloss finishes for added depth

A great printed wrap isn’t just about the artwork.

The finish matters too.

For Boomting Pizza, the wrap uses high-quality printed vinyl with contrasting matt and gloss elements, helping add depth and variation across the vehicle.

That subtle difference in finish helps lift the design and gives the graphics a more premium, considered feel when viewed up close.

It’s a small detail, but it makes a big difference.

Particularly on large dark panels, where changes in texture can add another layer of visual interest without overcomplicating the design.
