Androlabs
Healthcare Awareness Campaign and Pub Takeover for The Brothers’ Arms
Toy Creative helped bring the Androlabs men’s health awareness campaign to life by transforming a London pub into The Brothers’ Arms, the UK’s first men’s health pub. The project used bold environmental graphics, signage and printed materials to create a space where conversations about men’s health could happen naturally.

Men are statistically less likely to seek medical advice or openly discuss health concerns.
The Androlabs campaign aimed to break down this barrier by bringing health conversations into a place where men already feel comfortable — the pub. The concept was to temporarily transform a traditional venue into an environment dedicated to men’s health awareness.
-
Toy Creative worked with the campaign team to develop bold visual graphics that could completely transform the venue.
The design language combined striking typography with provocative messaging designed to prompt curiosity and conversation about men’s wellbeing.
-
The campaign required the entire venue to be visually transformed through printed graphics and signage, including window graphics and decals, large printed banners, custom signage, printed flyers and leaflets, and branded beer coasters.
These elements helped shift the atmosphere from a typical pub to a vibrant health awareness space.
-
Toy Creative produced and installed the full range of printed materials used throughout the venue.
Every surface of the pub became a communication tool — turning the environment into an immersive campaign experience designed to spark discussion among visitors.
-
The Brothers’ Arms campaign created a unique platform for discussing men’s health in a relaxed and familiar environment.
By combining bold design with an unconventional venue takeover, the campaign successfully encouraged open conversations around topics that are often difficult for men to discuss.

Creating the UK’s first men’s health pub was always going to be a bold move, and working with Androlabs and The 4th Partnership on this project in South London was a perfect blend of creativity, purpose and community energy.
The chosen venue, The Westow House, became the heartbeat of this groundbreaking campaign. Our job was to visually transform it into The Brothers’ Arms: a fully branded space dedicated to men’s mental and physical health, without losing the warm, down-to-earth pub feel.
The exterior saw a complete makeover with bespoke signage, designed in a bold, health-focused style that married the Androlabs brand identity with classic pub cues. Window decals were cut and applied to give instant kerb appeal, and to clue passers-by into the pub’s new purpose.
Inside, over 40 printed adverts were displayed across walls, tables and bathrooms, covering topics from mental health to hormone balance — all written with the right amount of humour and honesty. We also designed custom-cut signs and bold wall graphics that turned the space into a fully immersive health-positive zone. Even the beer mats carried messages, encouraging small but meaningful moments of reflection over a drink.
The month-long takeover featured a packed calendar of talks, panels and speaker events, all designed to break down stigma and open up conversation. From GPs and fitness experts to everyday blokes sharing personal stories, the programming added another layer of meaning to the visual identity we had created.
From signwriting to printed graphics, event design to activation strategy, this project was more than a pub makeover. We are proud to have played a part in putting men’s health in the spotlight, one pint at a time.
