Large-Format Lorry Graphics for L&P Removals in Luton

Moving house is a big job.

Branding the lorry that does it? Also pretty big, as it turns out.

For L&P Removals, we headed to Luton to design, print and install a huge set of commercial vehicle graphics, giving their removal lorry a bold, professional look that's impossible to miss on the road.

We're talking oversized lettering, large-format printed vinyl, a branded cab and plenty of attention to detail.

Because when your vehicle is effectively a moving billboard the size of a small building, it's worth making sure it looks the part.

A big reputation deserves big branding.

L&P Removals is a family-run removals company operating from Watford and Luton, helping customers with everything from moving individual items to complete house and office removals.

With vehicles travelling around Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and across the UK, keeping their branding consistent and recognisable is important.

And that's where we come in.

The aim for this project was to give one of their larger removal lorries a professional, highly visible finish that clearly communicates who they are and what they do.

The existing L&P identity uses a distinctive combination of navy blue, white and yellow.

Simple colours.

Strong contrast.

And exactly what you need when your artwork is about to be scaled up across several metres of lorry.

Not exactly your average van signwriting.

We've wrapped plenty of vehicles over the years.

Small vans. Electric vehicles. Food trucks. All sorts.

But a removal lorry brings a slightly different set of challenges.

For starters, there's the size.

The enormous flat sides provide an excellent canvas for commercial vehicle advertising, but they also make alignment and consistency particularly important.

A slight positioning error on a small van might only affect a short section of lettering.

On a lorry this size, it's got a lot more room to become a problem.

For L&P Removals, the bold navy bands stretch across the vehicle body, framing a large white central section featuring the company's main message:

MOVERS & PACKERS

Beneath that, the supporting line explains their service in a little more detail:

From single items to full house moves, we have you covered.

It's straightforward, easy to understand and designed to be read quickly.

Which is exactly what good commercial vehicle graphics should be.

Making every metre count.

One of the biggest advantages of large vehicle signage is the amount of space available for branding.

But having more room doesn't mean you need to fill every inch with information.

Quite the opposite.

The L&P Removals design uses oversized lettering and clearly separated sections to make the most important details stand out.

The company name sits prominently along the upper navy band, while the main MOVERS & PACKERS message takes centre stage below.

Contact details, including the phone number, website and email address, are positioned along the lower section of the vehicle.

The bright yellow lettering provides an extra pop of colour against the navy background, helping the business information remain visible without competing with the main branding.

There's a clear order to everything.

Company name.

What they do.

How to contact them.

No searching around. No squinting at tiny lettering.

Just useful information, exactly where it needs to be.

Giving the back of the lorry some attention.

The sides might offer the biggest canvas, but the rear of a removal lorry is arguably just as important.

Especially when you're following one through traffic.

For this project, we carried the L&P branding across the large rear doors, maintaining the same navy, white and yellow colour scheme.

The company name sits at the top, with MOVERS and PACKERS positioned prominently across the central section.

Large yellow contact numbers run along the lower navy band, making the rear of the vehicle another valuable piece of advertising space.

Of course, rear lorry doors come with their own obstacles.

Hinges.

Locking bars.

Handles.

And plenty of other bits that have absolutely no interest in how nicely you've laid out your artwork.

The graphics needed to be carefully positioned around those features so the design remained readable and visually balanced.

It's one of those jobs where a bit of forward planning makes a big difference to the finished result.

Large-format printing. Larger installation.

Once the artwork was prepared, the next step was turning those designs into physical graphics.

For this project, we produced high-quality large-format printed vinyl, using wrapping materials suitable for application across the vehicle's exterior panels.

The installation involved accurately positioning and applying large sections of graphics across the lorry body, keeping the design aligned as it continued along the vehicle.

That might sound straightforward.

Until you're standing next to several metres of vinyl and trying to make sure every letter sits exactly where it should.

The project also included wrapping the cab, helping bring the overall vehicle appearance together.

With a combination of printed graphics and contrasting matt and gloss finishes, the materials added another level of detail to the finished branding.

Big vehicles need big graphics.

But getting them right still comes down to the smaller details.

A moving advert that earns its keep.

For a removals business, a branded lorry is about much more than looking professional.

It's also an incredibly useful advertising opportunity.

Think about where a removal vehicle spends its time.

Outside homes.

On busy roads.

Travelling between towns.

Parked up while the team loads and unloads.

Every one of those moments is another opportunity for someone to spot the business.

With L&P Removals operating across Watford, Luton and the wider UK, the finished graphics help keep their name visible wherever the next job takes them.

And thanks to the oversized lettering and bold colour scheme, the business is easy to recognise without needing to read every detail.

It's the kind of branding that works whether the lorry is parked on a driveway or travelling along the M1.

That's a lot of potential advertising space.

Might as well make it work.
