Shopfront Signage for Kerrera Craft Beer & Wine Bar in Henley-on-Thames

Good beer deserves a decent sign.

For Kerrera Craft Beer & Wine Bar, we produced and installed a complete new shopfront signage package in Henley-on-Thames, combining a fabricated tray fascia with raised white lettering, a projecting sign and window graphics.

Clean, understated and considerably easier to spot from the street.

Project Details

A proper first impression.

For bars, restaurants and independent shops, the frontage has quite a lot of work to do.

It needs to tell people where you are, communicate what sort of place they are about to walk into and ideally look good enough that they actually want to.

For Kerrera, the approach was deliberately simple.

A deep blue fascia provides a strong backdrop for crisp white lettering, giving the frontage a smart, established feel that works naturally against the surrounding brickwork and dark window frames.

No shouting required.

A fascia with a little more depth.

The main shopfront sign was produced as a fabricated tray fascia with individually applied 3D white lettering.

Rather than printing the whole identity onto a flat panel, the dimensional letters introduce shadow and depth, helping the Kerrera name stand out as light changes throughout the day.

It is a small detail that makes the finished frontage feel considerably more permanent.

The clean white typography also gives plenty of contrast against the blue background, keeping the name easy to read from further down the street.

Useful when your customers are searching for the next pint.

Seen from more than one direction.

The main fascia handles the front-on view.

The projecting sign does the rest.

Mounted perpendicular to the building, it carries the Kerrera identity out into the street so pedestrians approaching from either direction can find the bar before they are standing directly outside it.

Same brand.

Different angle.

A surprisingly important bit of shop signage.

Put the windows to work too.

The entrance graphics add the practical information without cluttering the main fascia.

Opening times were applied directly to the glass using clean white vinyl lettering, alongside Kerrera's social media details and branding.

We also introduced frosted window graphics where required, adding another branded layer to the frontage while helping manage visibility through the glazing.

It means the windows are doing more than letting light in.

Always nice when every bit of a shopfront earns its keep.

One frontage. One joined-up system.

The strongest shopfronts rarely rely on one enormous sign.

They are usually a combination of smaller details working together:

  • Fabricated fascia tray

  • Raised 3D lettering

  • Projecting signage

  • Opening hours

  • Window decals

  • Frosted graphics

  • Social media information

  • Professional installation

For Kerrera, those elements create one consistent identity across the whole entrance rather than a collection of signs added at different times.

The result feels considered from the pavement right through to the front door.
